Planning Intern

Will is pursuing a dual Masters of City & Regional Planning (MCRP) and Business Administration (MBA) at UNC Chapel Hill. Originally from Greensboro, NC, he has lived and worked in Cape Town, South Africa, Bangkok, Thailand, Auckland, New Zealand, Washington, DC, and North Carolina.

Will is passionate about urban planning and design, sustainable real estate development, and progressive civic politics. Before starting graduate school and joining the Urban3 team Will was an ORISE Fellow at the U.S. EPA’s Office of Sustainable Communities, an AmeriCorps member with Habitat for Humanity in Durham, NC, a Henry Luce Scholar in Bangkok, Thailand, and Student Body President of UNC-Chapel Hill. Through these roles and others he has written about the planning implications of autonomous vehicles, studied walkability in Southeast Asian megacities, and successfully advocated for the preservation of need-based financial aid at UNC-Chapel Hill.
